Troubleshooting for the Blood Glucose Meter:
If your blood sugar meter is not working, try these trouble shooting techniques.
- Check to see if the batteries are working in the meter.
- Run controls to make sure the machine is working.
- Did you put enough blood on the test strip?
The entire sample area must be covered with blood and look wet.- Have you cleaned the surface of the machine?
- Have kept your strips in an air tight container?
They don’t work if they are left open to air for more then a few minutes.- Have you reviewed the instructions for your monitor?
- Does the control number match the strips?
- Is your strip inserted correctly?
